Arc. A. A.
Fadeyi is a Lecturer II at the Department of Architecture, College of
Environmental Sciences (COLENVS), Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun
State, Nigeria.
Based
on his scholastic excellence, he has been involved in Architectural Research
studies as a Master’s Student in his days – as Research Assistant to his
Professors - at the University of Lagos. On completion of his Master’s Program,
he ventured into a successful Professional Practice where he worked in both the
Public and Private Sectors of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction
(AEC) industry. These saw him becoming a Full
Member of the Nigerian Institute of
Architects (NIA) and a Registered Member of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria
(ARCON). After years of successful practice,
his passion for research and zeal for sharing of knowledge led him back to the
classroom. This facilitated his membership of the Association of Architectural Educators in Nigeria (AARCHES).
At
the moment, he teaches Design Studio, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Model
Making. For his skills and dexterity, he has successfully married the courses
as taught to the students with the dynamism in the global architectural
practice as it concerns hands-on experience expected of the students at entry-level
into the practice of architecture.
To
satisfy his passion for research, Fadeyi is currently running a PhD program. His
research interest is in the area of Building and Environmental Sciences, bordering
on Sustainability with focus on Building Performance Analysis, where he
explores the use of Advanced CAD Simulations in analysing and resolving critical
Passive Design Strategies pertinent
for achieving Natural Ventilation and
Daylighting for sustainable designs
in Nigerian homes.
