Segun Adewale ALABI

Segun Adewale ALABI studied at the University of Lagos - distinguished for its excellence in architectural training in Nigeria. There, he had both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Architecture. He started his professional career working in various architectural firms such as GHK Architects & CCP Limited where he gained a wealth of professional knowledge. He has a passion for academic research.

His research interests include – Sustainable Design for Hot Climate, Architectural Space-Making & Mechanical Systems, Theories of Aesthetics & Forms, Design Theories & Methods as well as Alternative Materials & Construction Methods.

Segun is presently looking into the study of Temporary Emergency Architecture (TEA) 'Sheltering Displaced Persons': An introspective analysis into design of short term structures and habitable space in response to emergency (Case study of selected areas in Nigeria) for his Doctoral Thesis.

A happily-married man, Arc. Alabi is a Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and a Member of Architecture Educators in Nigeria.
